3. Are you licensed and insured?  A lot of companies are licensed.  That’s good!  It’s required!  It’s a great first step towards being a legitimate business operation. But what about business liability insurance? What if there is an accident on your property that does damage to your home?  If it’s $100.00 to $500.00 worth of damage, the window cleaning company has a problem.  Usually that can be compensated by the company out of their cash account. However, what if it’s $5,000.00 up to $1000,000.00 worth of damage, depending on the size of the company, you the homeowner has a problem.  Now we’re talking a lot of money!  The type of money most companies don’t have for these circumstances.  That’s where business liability insurance comes in.  TO PROTECT YOU!!  Don’t even think of hiring a window cleaning company without a business liability policy!  Most insurance policies are cover up to one million in damages.  Some go the extra mile and provide 2 million in liability protection.  If one million is good, 2 million is better!  Again, business liability insurance is for your protection! Ask them if they can provide proof of insurance.  The only acceptable answer is yes.  This is non-negotiable.

4.
